I've come full circle, ready to share progress.
I still need an outlet to convey my ideas and what I am doing to try and be more productive on a daily basis. I'm trying to detach and unplug from many social media apps and devices that easily hijack my time and attention. I'm coming back to the blog because I can express thought and highlight progress without a "like" button.
When the pandemic was racing through Italy in early 2020, I made a decision to start researching several ways I can improve my health and immune system. We did not know of any solution back in early 2020, other than to flatten the curve and keep hospital beds open, so I started reading books that could potentially improve my overall health. At the same time, I was let go from my job and decided to start my own firm. Running my own firm was going to take a lot of time and energy, so this was also motivation to see how much I could improve my overall health.
I will be highlighting my reading list in this blog, but there are 4 areas I'm really focusing on that have contributed to continued weight loss, energy, clarity and motivation:
- Proper sleep
- Adequate nutrition (for me, insulin control through a low carb diet)
- Breathing
- Detachment from activities that give me an instant dopamine hit vs. activities that are productive
